@bradleywerner ya i used to think gambling was awesome.... my entire house furniture is paid for by casino winnings.... then i realized the truth... i added up my gambling losses, and im averaging $3300 losses every 23 days... thats pathetic... thats over 2 house payments in less than a month that i have blown at the casnio.. yea i started out just taking 100 dollars into the casino, but soon you lose the buzz of winning just 10 dollars at a time...

i agree with the definitions below and i'd like to add that, despite what people say to justify it, investing in the stock market is a form of a gambling. just a more socially acceptable form of gambling that is more legitimate because it's favoured by the social elite.
