Thanks for posting this! I have been a big fan of Corman's films over the years. I particularly like how he says in the first part of this video about making films if you want to do art--NOT make money. Something that is sorely missing from today's movie industry. I really hope that Roger keeps on going awhile, because there are NO really good risk-taking independent producers to take his place, and to give young actors, directors, writers, etc. the critical start they need.

I know and that sucks. I mean we get Oscar's for comedies, romance, action/adventure, science fiction etc, but horror (unless you count very rare circumstances) never gets it. It's been around just as long as any other genre. Granted there's alot that suck today, but the Universal horror stars definately should have got one each. But I'm still glad for Landau. Sorry folks, Fonda was what made this movie respectable. Totally miscast was: Bronson and Jason Robards (Robards shouldn't be in a western). I'm a big Bronson fan but him peeking around corners blowing a mouth harp is ridiculous. I can name a lot of movies he's awesome in and you can too. And no, this isn't an Eastwood style movie, my personal Eastwood fav is Outlaw Josie Wales. I stick by it, Fonda is strong in a weak Leone western.

The part about Hagman is incorrect. Mr. Culp has tried to get this rumor straightened out since the whole who shot jr. incident happened. He was never contacted by the Dallas producers and never offered the part.. Apparently the folks from Lorimar and CBS made up the story about Culp to scare Hagman into returning. Culp has done print interviews regarding this and also brought it up in his archive interview.Unfortunatly the story has been repeated for so long that people accept it as fact.

How cool that you too got a personal email from Ms Karloff, ATVMidlands! I'm sure Boris stayed quite proud of his British ancestry. So much so that he & his last wife returned to the UK to live during the 60's, where he later died. He lived the life of a true English gentleman (humble, patriotic, kinde & generous to a fault).
