| I remember when I ... By: SenorChito. on 07 Jun 09, 02:39:33 I remember when I went from DOS to Windows 95. I was thinking "alright! No more commands to type in!!! Stellar!" (remember it was the 90's) So I ran out, got Win95, upgraded the memory in my Packard Bell and installed it one floppy at a time. I started it up, there was this big smile on my face, and then! and then!!!! I read the manual... -.-' "In the Command Prompt, Type MSIEXEC etc etc" | |
| OS X Leopard is 64 ... By: drivojulianrobotnik. on 25 May 09, 03:48:40 OS X Leopard is 64 Bit. The issue is that apple does not allow carbon to be in 64 bit, which they changed at the last second. (Messing up adobes plans.) | |

| Hey, wait there! ... By: blynx666. on 24 Jan 09, 23:06:11 Hey, wait there! Just to clarify, the new Macs aren't exactly true "PC Clones". They don't have a BIOS (they have EFIs), nor PICs and IBM legacy stuff. They can't run DOS and Windows runs over an emulation layer. While I agree that the IBM architecture is commercially viable, I don't see it as ingenious as the original Apple II or Macintosh 68k/PPC architecture. It is messy and you have to go trough three different processor modes just to use 64 bits. | |
| Uncle Billy said so ... By: dotMacintosh. on 12 Jan 09, 21:30:18 Uncle Billy said so! That's why they've chosen it... to then copy it xD cause command prompts were so boring =P I know GUI idea was Xerox's, but this way to do things is Apple's, that's what Microsoft truly copied. Xerox just had a prototype, and idea, nothing functional. | |

Without INTEL chips now, they cant run a partition for windows, which means programs like Rhino or Autodesk cannot run on Mac. ALSO now that CS4 comes in 64 Bit, people will use a regular 64bit PC to run it. Mac still refuses to run a 64bit os. | |

| I find it ironic ... By: xelink. on 29 Sep 08, 08:58:48 I find it ironic that Apple now makes PC clones and markets them as Macs(and their PC clones are better than their old "macs" which weren't PC clones). any mainstream personal computer on the market is now a PC clone. IBM's original design scales well and it's been a success. you can say what you want about software(Mac OSX is a solid OS), but hardware wise, PCs are now king simply because PPC is dead(what older macs used), sparc is dead, and nothing else is really viable anymore. | |

| Apple had to change ... By: annoyedwithsignup. on 19 Jul 08, 10:46:20 Apple had to change their ways because Microsoft had (and has, although loosening) an iron grip on those areas. Where Apple really (and always) ruled was Creative Pro apps, like film maker and graphic design. This is the area they had to focus on to stay alive. | |

@devastnyc hahaha well said

fullplastic: Nice try, but Apple doesn't have to "hype" anything. Their products prove themselves over and over again. Apples' very devoted followers are there because the products are "tried and true". NOBODY is stupid enough to buy a product (repeatedly) that is inferior. Try again......
By: becksterbaby. on 19 Mar 10, 03:02:32
Quite inventive for it's time! There were only 2 things that aged it - the monitors in the hallway and the chick's hair! Great!
By: fullmetalmc. on 19 Mar 10, 02:06:16
@CJurasin Apple is a corporation and lots of Linux distros r made for no profit so Apple should have at least the second best os in the market but instead they rely on hyping up their products and putting fruit stickers everywhere
By: Kracker5000. on 19 Mar 10, 01:09:44
Gay Pride Apple??
By: CJurasin. on 18 Mar 10, 20:11:57
If ONE product is ALL you produce, you can spend the time and money working on just that. Apple produces many things and in my opinion is the best at what it does in such a large realm.
By: fullmetalmc. on 18 Mar 10, 19:30:41
@CJurasin I was always talking about software and face it Linux is the best os
By: CJurasin. on 18 Mar 10, 19:19:28
You're right.... they never have. My point is that Apple does BOTH and does it WELL.....always has. Linux (as good as it is) is NOT a comparison here.
By: fullmetalmc. on 18 Mar 10, 19:16:17
@CJurasin Mircrosoft doesnt make hardware either
By: CJurasin. on 18 Mar 10, 19:01:18
Linux doesn't make computers or ANY kind of hardware now do they?? They are only Software......and I agree that Linux is great software....never said differently.
By: fullmetalmc. on 18 Mar 10, 18:46:04
@CJurasin and u r a Mac fan? Mac fans boast that they r smarter than PC users but u have failed to notice that I am supporting only Linux which is free and if I may add superior to Mac OS X

kristina: No matter WHAT a company starts out like, it slowly evolves. The generation that grows up with it, notices the changes as they slowly take place. YOU start a company and then 25 years later look back and see how it evolved, (and then you'll hear some kid say "you're just like all the rest" ......because he hasn't lived long enough to see and understand what took place over the years).

By: olehenriksn. on 17 Mar 10, 19:27:49
ah lol this is what they were making fun of when they made the commercial for Planet Express in Futurama
By: kristina389. on 17 Mar 10, 18:43:05
this is actually kind of a brilliant commercial, you just have to understand what it's about. Funnily enough, this commercial is opposing exactly what apple has become...notice how the apple logo is no longer colourful and different?
By: Vendetti. on 17 Mar 10, 17:15:43
