I couldn't have said it better myself! I don't live in US but over here is pretty much the same shit... People can't think for themselves and listen to what they want, they just listen to music that is currently popular, that's really the main problem, it's so sad that whatever they play on MTV suddenly becomes the greatest stuff ever -- it's simply brainwashing with commercial crap.

Cont. The only way to make a change is for people to stop buying the "music", stop listening to it on the radio and stop going to the clubs where they play it. Simple really. The charts are fixed. Do you know anyone that votes for the songs on the charts? I don't either. So logically it makes sense that it is fixed. I'm sure if someone made a chart to vote, you'd find that people don't listen to commercial cheese that often. Wiki Triple J Hottest 100 and you will get what I mean.

Well that sucks! I kind of figured it was like that in the US but not as bad as that. I don't listen to the radio either. Can't stand the shit they play and call it music. Music today is mindless, pointless crap with no real feeling. If music doesn't provoke though and emotion then its not really music. The only thoughts and emotions i get from the shit played on the radio is rage and a need to punch these so called artists in the face. Its all just a money making scheme and ppl fall for it....

well @ least you're not here in the US where music REALLY sucks...most people don't recognize anything that's not crappy commercial pop, rock, rap- u can't leave the house without hearing a damn Lil Wayne or Drake song, and r&b...and people act like I'm crazy cuz I can't stand listening to the radio or going to clubs where they don't play electronic music
